Can faux locs damage your hair?
Faux locs are no more damaging than any other hairstyle that adds hair to your own hair with too much tension on the scalp. You cannot neglect your own hair and assume that no further maintenance is necessary. Your own hair must still be cleansed, moisturized, and conditioned.
Do you dip Marley twist in hot water?
If you prefer to not use the burning technique, you can seal your ends by dipping them in hot water. It is super easy, just leave the ends of your Havana, Marley, or Senegalese twist out and carefully dip them in hot water. Dry your twists with a towel afterwards.
